Cephalotus follicularis – Triffid Albany Black
Cephalotus follicularis – Triffid Albany Black is a particularly nice form of the species. Produces very dark and large pitchers. At our nursery we grow this plant under highland conditions. Customers will need to grow this species under cool/warm temperatures. This means that the night temperatures should be 55-65 Fahrenheit. Daytime temperatures should stay around 78°-85 F. Pitcher plants (Cephalotus) in general like the humidity to be 75% or higher. In addition remember to use distilled water, rain water or reverse osmosis water with your Cephalotus. Most noteworthy about this species is its large dark tubby pitchers. Furthermore, this form is hard to find in cultivation. Because the plant is still young, some of the adult characteristics won’t show yet. The plant in the first 3 photos is representative of the plant you will receive. The last photo is of the stock plant this came from. We will ship your plant potted.
