Cephalotus follicularis – Emu Point – Native Exotics
Cephalotus follicularis – Emu Point is a really nice form of the species. It produces very dark and large pitchers. Most noteworthy about this species is its large dark tubby pitchers. Furthermore, this form is hard to find in cultivation. The plant is still young, so some of the adult characteristics won’t show yet. These are small between .5 and 1″ in diameter.
This plant prefers intermediate conditions, which means that it should be kept around 75-85°F during the day and 55-65°F at night with a very high relative humidity.
Cephalotus in general like the humidity to be 75% or higher. In addition remember to use distilled water, rain water or reverse osmosis water with your Cephalotus.
