Drosera magnifica | Native Exotics | NE-016
This is an extremely rare Brazilian species of Drosera. Not common yet in cultivation. Easy to grow under cool tropical conditions, makes a great companion plant to Heliamphora and highland Nepenthes. We have found this species to grow well under bright light, high humidity and day temperatures ranging in the mid 70’s and nights in the low to mid 50’s. Can tolerate short periods that exceed those ranges. Grow your Drosera magnifica using reverse osmosis, distilled or rain water for best results. Keep the media on the dryer side and keep under high humidity. We tend to water well until water pours out the bottom of the pot and then let the media dry out before watering again. We grow this species in a mix of sand, perlite and peat moss and have also had great success with sphagnum moss and perlite.
