Drosera schizandra – Native Exotics – Rare

Drosera schizandra is one of the Three Sisters of Queensland and a unique carnivorous plant, they can grow quickly and are quite lovely! This species enjoys low light and a good feeding, so those who dare to grow one must feed it bi-weekly, by placing an insect on a leaf. Drosera schizandra is slightly picky with light requirements. This species prefers partial shade, we grow ours under our benches with single T5 lights. Temperatures as low as 60 F are acceptable. Day time temperatures can get into the low 80’s as long as the roots are protected from extreme heat. We feed with dried meal worms, blood worms, crickets or any insect you can find! They tend to respond well to mid to high humidity. Make sure to not let the soil dry out.
