Nepenthes glandulifera x robcantleyi – Borneo Exotics – BE-3662
Nepenthes glandulifera x robcantleyi is a surprisingly attractive plant. This hybrid is grown from seed by Borneo Exotics and is well hardened-off. At Native Exotics we grow this plant under intermediate conditions, which means that the temperature is kept at 55-65°F at night and around 78-83°F during the day with a very high relative humidity. Customers will need to provide a similar environment for best results.
Nepenthes as a genus prefer high humidity, at least 75% RH for most species. In addition, they should be watered with distilled water, rainwater or reverse osmosis water rather than tap or well water. Fertilizing Nepenthes should only be done rarely, and with extreme care.
Most noteworthy about this hybrid is its potential for large pitchers and darker color. This specimen is grown from seed by Borneo Exotics and is well hardened-off. The plant is still young, so some of the characteristics won’t show yet. It’s medium-large, about 5″ across.
