Nepenthes maxima ‘Large’, Sulawesi – Christian Klein – Seed Grown – Specimen
Nepenthes maxima ‘Large’, Sulawesi form is a horticultural variant of N. Maxima. This cross will display undulated leaves, hence the name of the female parent.
This specimen is a well hardened-off seed-grown plant from Christian Klein. It’s small, 2-3 inches across. It’s still young, so some of the adult characteristics aren’t visible yet.
This plant prefers intermediate conditions, which means that it should be kept around 75-85°F during the day and 55-65°F at night with a very high relative humidity.
Nepenthes as a genus prefer high humidity, at least 75% RH for most species. In addition, they should be watered with distilled water, rainwater or reverse osmosis water rather than tap or well water. Fertilizing Nepenthes should only be done rarely, and with extreme care.
