Description
Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa | Christian Klein | Seed Grown | Specimen
Nepenthes mirabilis var. globosa (was previously labeled as N. orbiculata however these are not from the Phang Nga Island and therefore can not be N. orbiculata and are likely from Trang Province)
This specimen is a well hardened-off seed-grown plant from Christian Klein. It’s very large, 11 inches across. It’s still young, so some of the adult characteristics aren’t visible yet.
This plant prefers lowland conditions, which means that it should be kept around 80-90°F during the day and 65-70°F at night with a very high relative humidity.
Nepenthes as a genus prefer high humidity, at least 75% RH for most species. In addition, they should be watered with distilled water, rainwater or reverse osmosis water rather than tap or well water. Fertilizing Nepenthes should only be done rarely, and with extreme care.
