Nepenthes singalana – Belirang – BE-3170
Nepenthes singalana – Belirang is a classic species native to Sumatra, Indonesia. At Native Exotics we grow this plant under intermediate conditions, which means that the temperature is kept at 55-60°F at night and around 78-80°F during the day with a very high relative humidity. Customers will need to provide a similar environment for best results.
Nepenthes as a genus prefer high humidity, at least 75% RH for most species. In addition, they should be watered with distilled water, rainwater or reverse osmosis water rather than tap or well water. Fertilizing Nepenthes should only be done rarely, and with extreme care.
This species produces slender, colorful pitchers, and it is relatively easy to grow. They’re still young, so some of the adult characteristics aren’t visible yet. They are medium-large, about 5-6″ across. This plant is a well hardened-off clone from Borneo Exotics.
