Nepenthes splendiana x veitchii – Native Exotics – Seed Grown – Specimen
Nepenthes splendiana x veitchii is an exciting hybrid in part to it’s ease to grow. At our nursery we grow this plant under intermediate conditions. This hybrid is produced from seed. Already proving to be large and colorful, very hirsute leaves and pitchers.
Customers will need to grow this plant under warm temperatures. This means that the night temperatures should be 60° Fahrenheit. Daytime temperatures should stay around 80° F. Nepenthes in general like the humidity to be 75% or higher. In addition remember to use distilled water, rain water or reverse osmosis with your Nepenthes.
Most noteworthy about this hybrid is it’s hairy leaves and pitchers. Due to this plant’s parentage it is known to produce large, squat pitchers. Because the plant is still relatively young, some of the adult characteristics won’t show yet.
