Ultramafic soil promotes healthy root development and growth for Nepenthes from select regions of Borneo and the Philippines (ex. villosa, clipeata, peltata, argentii etc.). What makes this media unique is that it contains low amounts of calcium and nitrogen, yet high amounts of magnesium, nickel, chromium, and other heavy metals. This achieves the optimal porosity and ph range of 5.3-5.8. This mix is made with the highest quality akadama, sphagnum moss, and peat moss.

For each bag purchased, $1 will be donated to the Maliau Basin Conservation Area.  Several at-risk Nepenthes grow in the Maliau Basin and we want to help maintain their wild habitat. Buying soil = preserving soil!
