Shipping and Live Plant Guarantee

Shipping

Plants are shipped using either FedEx 2Day or USPS Priority Mail.

Shipping with FedEx 2Day

All orders shipped using FedEx have a Live Plant Guarantee (see below).
 
If you prefer picking your orders up, please put your preferred pickup address as the delivery address and put “PICKUP” in your order notes (see example below).  Please visit the FedEx website for eligible pickup locations. For more information about picking up with FedEx, please read this guide.

Shipping with USPS Priority Mail

Please note that at this time, orders shipped with USPS are not eligible for the Live Plant Guarantee. IF YOU CHOOSE TO SHIP WITH THE USPS YOU DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!
 
While we support the mission of the USPS and have worked with them for many years, their service has unfortunately become too unpredictable to ship live plants.
 
The only exception to this is orders shipped to Puerto Rico. USPS is the only shipping option for orders going to Puerto Rico, and the Live Plant Guarantee does apply.

Shippings Charges

FedEx: $11.95 + $2 per plant
USPS: $8.50 + $2 per plant
Shipping charges for potting mixes varies by volume and location.
 
For example, if you bought two plants shipping would be $12.50 with the USPS and $15.95 with FedEx.

Packaging

All of our plants are shipped potted. While it takes us a long time to prepare, we’ve found this the best way to ensure plants arrive safely. We include a free heat pack in all orders (FedEx and USPS) when necessary.
 
Make sure you are present at the delivery address and can immediately bring your plants inside. If not, please coordinate a pickup with your shipping provider. We do not guarantee safe delivery of our plants when plants are left outside for a prolonger period of time by the customer. 
 
We do not ship internationally. Only domestic shipping addresses will be accepted at checkout.

Shipping Schedule

Native Exotics ships every Monday year-round. If we do not complete all open shipments on Monday, we will continue shipping on Tuesday and, if necessary, Wednesday. 

In the event of a holiday weekend, we will ship on Tuesday. Native Exotics reserves the right to hold orders if weather is hostile to the health of your plants. 

Combining Orders

We do combine shipping on separate orders. If you place an order and decide you want to add another item(s) please select the “combine with existing order” option for shipping when checking out. This option is ONLY used when you have already paid for an order and the flat rate shipping price. The additional plant(s) added to your existing order will be $2 each. Putting items into your cart reserves them for you for 25 minutes while you continue to browse. Please be aware of this as you shop.

Live Plant Guarantee

We guarantee that all our plants will arrive in good and healthy condition. If you believe your plant arrived damaged, please take photos of the plant within 24 hours of the plant’s arrival and send to [email protected] If it is assessed that the plant has been damaged to a point that its growth would suffer and its value has significantly decreased, we will either send you a replacement (when possible) or provide you with store credit.

Please note store credit will not be issued if the damage is not significantly detrimental to the value of the product (i.e. a broken pitcher). Furthermore, store credit will not be issued if the damage is perceived as a result of the customer negligence. This includes leaving packages outside on extremely cold or hot days.
